Alpha

WHAT IS ALPHA?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Alpha is for anyone who’s curious to explore the big questions of life, faith and meaning. The films are designed to encourage conversation and explore the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. You can say anything you like or nothing at all.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?

We are hosting 3 Alphas this term, so there are 3 opportunities each week to come and ask the big questions of life.

  • Wednesday mornings, 9-10.30am (starting on Wednesday 1st October) *with provision for Toddlers | Sign up ->>

  • Wednesday Lunchtimes, 12-1.30pm (starting on Wednesday 1st October) | Sign up ->>

  • Sunday Evenings, 6.30-8.30pm (starting on Sunday 5th October) | Sign up ->>

A TYPICAL ALPHA SESSION

  • FOOD

Whether it’s a group of friends gathered for a cup of tea and biscuits or a more formal meal around a table, taking time to eat together is a great way to relax and build friendships with others. Each week every Alpha session starts with a time to connect with others over food.

  • FILM

The Alpha Films are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from 'Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

  • DISCUSSION

Probably the most important part of any Alpha course, is the chance to share your thoughts and ideas on the topic, and discuss what you've heard with others. There's no obligation to say anything and there really is nothing you can't say. Where everyone has opportunity to contribute their own perspective.
